JoAnn (Age 15) Level 8

JoAnn is our only Level 8 gymnast and hopes to compete in college gymnastics. She came from Oregon five years ago and has improved much because of Flips great coaches. JoAnn competed in Level 8 State last year and placed but not high enough to make it to regionals, that being her goal this year. In Level 7, JoAnn won bars at State, placed third on Beam, and third All-Around.
Besides being addicted to gymnastics, JoAnn also does will in school gaining her letter jacket for academics this year and being in the top 15% at her high school. JoAnn helped participate with her school choir to win the UIL contest in Dallas the past two years. She also participates in Bible studies at church as well as attends a youth group. She recently returned from a study tour of the Holy Land and archeological study of Petra, Jordan and Cairo, Egypt.
Her goals are to get into a great gymnastics college and study veterinary medicine. She plans to continue to stay in the top percent of her class.
In her free time she loves to play football with family, go boating, swimming, bike riding and IM-ing friends across the globe.

UPDATE! Region 3 Championships. JoAnn had another solid meet at Regionals climbing the ranks to earn a fourth place finish on Bars and a twenty-fifth All-Around. We are proud of you JoAnn. Congratulations on a great season.
